The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) has finalized its coaching staff for the upcoming Asian Professional Baseball Championship (APBC) in Japan next month.
The APBC will be held from June 16 to 19 and will feature four nations – Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia. It will consist of three days of pool play, followed by a third-place game or final on the final day of the tournament, depending on the results of the preliminary rounds.
The national team will convene in Daegu on the 5th of next month and hold training and practice matches at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu until the 13th.먹튀검증
According to a KBO announcement, of the coaching staff that assisted Ryu at the Hangzhou Asian Games, head coach Ryu Ji-hyun, pitching coach Choi Il-un, hitting coach Jang Jong-hoon and battery coach Kim Dong-soo have been retained for the tournament.Ryu Ji-hyun also coached at the last edition of the tournament, held in 2017.
Among the existing coaching staff, Lee Jong-yeol and Jeong Dae-hyun, who were appointed as Samsung and Futures managers respectively, were removed. In their place, Lotte pitching coach Kim Hyun-wook and SSG hitting coach Lee Jin-young were appointed.
Kim will serve as the national team’s bullpen coach, while Lee will serve as the QC coach.
